One of the players that has been tipped to leave Stamford Bridge in the summer transfer window is Timo Werner who has failed to perform as expected of him in the premier league.

Since joining Chelsea last summer during the reign of former coach, Frank Lampard, Werner has failed to perform.

So far, he has scored 10 goals and seven assists this season, but critics continue to blame him for his performances in front of the goal.

With this, there have been reporting that Chelsea are considering a swap deal that could see the German international return to the German league while Erling Haaland comes over to Stamford Bridge in his place.

However, a report via Goal has claimed that Werner is motivated to ensure that his period at Stamford Bridge is not regarded as a failure.

The report further claimed that the versatile attacker does not want to leave the Premier League outfit after just one season and he hoped this would end any talk of a quick return to the Bundesliga.

His current contract with Chelsea runs holds until the end of the 2024-25 campaign.

There are indications that if he fails to perform in the Blues games for the rest of this season then he would have to leave in the summer.
