This Arsenal star could leave as club closes in on deal for Calafiori
The recent report has disclosed a twist in Arsenal bid for Riccardo Calafiori this summer transfer window.
There are now speculations that the Gunners star Jakub Kiwior could leave Emirates Stadium, as they close in on a deal for Calafiori from Serie A club Bologna.
This is according to Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano in a tweet via his X account on Sunday.
Tweeting about Kiwior’s deal, Romano said there’s possibility for loan deal but only with a mandatory buy clause. He added that Italian clubs are keeping close eye on the situation and there are no formal proposals yet.
Meanwhile, Romano had previously stated that a deal is close for Calafiori but so far the North London side haven’t gone as far as reaching the £42.3million valuation.
Owing to this, things had momentarily stalled in the transfer after.
Arsenal are yet to sign a new player this summer transfer window, which means they still have work to do if they want Calafiori as one of their defenders next season.
We will have to wait to see if the Gunners will be willing to meet the Italian defender’s transfer fee as they plan to strengthen their defence ahead of next season.
