Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag in a recent statement hinted that Anthony Martial and Rasmus Hojlund could both start in attack in future.

While Ten Hag has stuck with Hojlund as his first-choice central striker since the Dane’s £72m arrival from Atalanta in the summer, the coach appears to be planning on bolstering his attack.

So far this season, Martial has scored only one goal and that came in his last start against Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup.

Hojlund on the other hand has scored three goals for the Red Devils so far all of which were from the Champions League.

But Ten Hag, speaking ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League clash against FC Copenhagen, said the two players could play together in attack, as Martial is capable of playing from the left.

“They can play together because Anthony Martial is also available to play from the side,” he said.
