Man Utd manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed that Aaron Wan-Bissaka returned to the training field on Friday.

He also dropped hints at the possibility of the defender being in line to return to the squad against Liverpool next weekend.

Wan-Bissaka has not played for the Red Devils since the middle of January, but Ten Hag a statement before Man Utd clash with Everton on Saturday said that the 26-year-old should be available for the FA Cup fixture with Liverpool alongside both Harry Maguire and Rasmus Hojlund.

“Hopefully, some return,” Ten Hag told talkSPORT. “Aaron Wan-Bissaka was, yesterday, on the pitch. We expect also Harry Maguire back in the squad next week. Rasmus Hojlund has good hope he will make it as well.

“It’s clear. It’s a great game for us and we are looking forward to that game. But Liverpool will be the same and will also look forward [to it] as, for them, it’s also a very important game.

“We will plan it, prepare very well and we have to get ready for the game. It’s a huge game and a derby game, which we want to be in.”
