Summer transfer window: Chelsea, Arsenal in top 5 EPL spenders

A list of the top ten spenders in the Premier League during the ongoing summer transfer window has emerged.

Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal are in the top five on the list.

The Reds led by manager Arne Slot topped the list after they signed Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt for £79 million.

According to Sky Sports, Liverpool have spent the whopping sum of £295.5million, which is over £75 million more than the next biggest spenders, Chelsea, who are at the second spot.

Manchester City are at the third spot following by Arsenal at the fourth position.

At the fifth position is Tottenham Hotspur, who have spent £110.7 million so for.

Sunderland who were recently promoted to the Premier League have spent £107 million.

Manchester United are seated out of the top five on the list having spent just £69 million.

Meanwhile, Chelsea, who continue to hold the title of the EPL’s all-time biggest spenders in the transfer window, could surpass Liverpool before the end of the summer transfer window.
