Former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has landed a new coaching role since his exit from Old Trafford.

Recall Solskjaer has been out of work since the Red Devils fired him nearly two years ago.

The Norwegian has been barely linked with any managerial jobs since then.

Solskjaer was recently named as a surprise contender to take the reins at Leicester City over the summer, but in the end, former Manchester City assistant coach, Enzo Maresca got the job.

Solskjaer was also rumoured to have been handed the job of coaching the Norway women’s national football team.

The position has been vacant since Norway suffered an early elimination at the 2023 Women’s World Cup over the summer.

However, a recent report has now claimed Solskjaer has already turned down the chance to coach the team.

Speaking to Norwegian outlet NRK, Solskjaer said: “Yes, I have spoken to the association about the job as national coach – of course I have it.

“They have asked. But I am not ready for that yet.”
