Chelsea ace defender and Brazil star Thiago Silva has shared his take on life at the club under their new manager Mauricio Pochettino.

So far during their pre-season tour under Pochettino, the Blues have made a positive start to life as they defeated Wrexham 5-0 in North Carolina before another win over Brighton in Philadelphia as part of the Premier League’s summer series in the US.

Silva, who captained Chelsea against Brighton explained how the Argentine and his staff have put on impressive training sessions as the players search for ‘good connections’ ahead of next season.

‘Everything is working really well, we are training very good and trying to find the best connections and trying to get a good evolution,’ Silva said in a post-match statement after their win against Brighton.

‘We need to prepare well as a team, so we can start the season in the best possible way and try to have a better and more successful year.

‘The environment has always been good but it’s true that last season with difficult results, the situation was difficult.

‘But the trust and confidence with Mauricio is starting to be very interesting, he’s putting things on the right line and direction so all the players can have a good season and perform better.’
