Sancho may not play for Man Utd again

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag in a statement on Friday revealed he does not know whether Jadon Sancho will ever play for the club again.

Recall that Sancho was recently banished by the club to train far away from Man United’s first team after the England international responded to Ten Hag as he claimed he was a “scapegoat” after he was dropped for the club’s defeat at Arsenal earlier in September.

Sancho spent part of last season training on his own in the Netherlands after the Red Devils coach said he was not in the right physical and mental condition to play.

In a pre-match statement ahead of Saturday’s Premier League game against Brighton, Ten Hag said he does not know how long Sancho’s disciplinary procedure would last or whether he will play for Man United again.

When asked whether the former Borussia Dortmund star would adorn the United shirt again, Ten Hag said: “I don’t know. I am sitting here. Tomorrow we have a big game, we are going into a new block of games, many games in a condensed programme. I focus on that.”
