The semi-finals of the ongoing 2022 World Cup in Qatar have been confirmed.

This comes after the completion of the quarter-final matches on Saturday with France becoming the last team to book their spot in the last four after they defeated England by a 2-1 scoreline.

French star Aurelien Tchouameni opened the scoring with a stunning goal from range, but Harry Kane levelled for the Three Lions from the spot.

Former Chelsea and Arsenal star Olivier Giroud then extended his record as France’s all-time top scorer with a powerful header.

Kane had another chance to equalize from 12 yards, but he blasted the ball over the bar.

France will now play African country Morocco for a place in the final.

While Argentina will battle it out with Croatia in the semifinals for a spot in the final having defeated the Netherlands and Brazil, respectively in the quarter-finals.
