Premier League player tipped to win 2025 Ballon d’Or
Former Manchester United star Rio Ferdinand has made a bold prediction about Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah to likely be a contender for the 2025 Ballon d’Or.
This comes following Salah’s impressive form for the Reds as he has emerged as their standout players this season.
So far, the Egyptian star has scored 20 goals and created 17 assists in 26 matches across all competitions for the Premier League toppers.
The 32-year-old has been a top player at Anfield since signing for the Reds from Italian side AS Roma in the summer of 2017.
In a video tweeted by Football on TNT Sports, Ferdinand made a bold prediction about the potential winner of the 2025 Ballon d’Or.
When asked who he thinks will win the Ballon d’Or in 2025, the former England defender said: “Salah. He’s got a chance.”
As of now, Manchester City midfielder Rodri is the current holder of the Ballon d’Or, having won the prestigious award ahead of Real Madrid’s Vinícius Júnior in 2024.
With Liverpool currently tipped as favourite club to win the Premier League club, Salah could stand the chance to win the Ballon d’Or over Rodri.
Salah at some point this was linked with an exit from Liverpool.
