Former Chelsea midfielder, Craig Burley came hard on coach Thomas Tuchel after he expressed frustration after their 4-0 defeat to Arsenal.

Arsenal found the back of the net thanks to efforts from Gabriel Jesus, Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka and Albert Sambi Lokonga.

After the game, Tuchel questioned the commitment of his players and went on to tell the club’s hierarchy to sign more players this summer.

He said his side are unprepared to compete against Man City and Liverpool, having seen the likes of Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen leave this summer and there are reports of more players to leave before the end of the transfer window.

So far, Chelsea have signed only two players Raheem Sterling from Manchester City and Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli.

Following Tuchel’s rants, Burley said he has a ‘problem’ with the coach’s attitude.

“I have a problem with this guy at the moment. Managers will look to make excuses, there’s always a way to try and get out,” he told ESPN.

“I’m sorry, there’s not ten players trying to leave Chelsea…I’ve got a problem with that attitude.

“It’s his job to have them prepared and up for it.

“I’m sorry but as the old saying goes, the buck stops with the manager. Don’t tell Chelsea fans they might not be ready for the start of this season, tell me whose job it is. It’s his job,” he said.
