Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag has reacted to their summer signing Mason Mount’s performance in his debut game in Red Devils’ shirt.

This comes as Mount made his first appearance for forty-five minutes for Man Utd in Wednesday’s pre-season victory over Leeds United.

Ten Hag in a statement shared how pleased he was with what he saw from his recruit.

Man Utd named a relatively strong line-up for the first half of their friendly in Oslo, Norway with the former Chelsea midfielder going close to opening the scoreline with a chip.

Ten Hag made some adjustments to his squad for the second half which saw a youthful side secure a 2-0 win over Leeds thanks to goals from Noam Emeran and Joe Hugill.

Speaking to reporters after the game, Ten Hag was asked to rate their £55million signing’s display, he replied, “Great. First time [in the team] but we could expect this.

“I think for him it’s just his first [step] because he has so much skills. I’m sure we will take so much joy from him and he will contribute to our performance absolutely.”
