Potter takes decision on Ronaldo’s move to Chelsea

Chelsea manager, Graham Potter, is reported “unenthused” by the club’s prospect of signing Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United.

With the ongoing drama at Old Trafford, Ronaldo’s second spell seems to be over.

Ronaldo made headlines after his explosive interview with Piers Morgan, where he slammed manager Erik ten Hag and the club’s hierarchy, who he said betrayed him.

The reports revealed Man United are now considering terminating the 37-year-old’s contract, which still has seven months to run and is worth over £500,000 a week.

Chelsea’s co-owner, Todd Boehly, had explored the possibility of signing Ronaldo in the summer transfer window, but the manager at the time, Thomas Tuchel, turned down the idea.

It’s said that Tuchel was concerned about upsetting the dressing room with Ronaldo’s arrival.

According to MailOnline, Boehly could again make move for Ronaldo next year and may hold further talks with Jorge Mendes over a potential deal.

However, like Tuchel, Potter is believed to be “equally unenthused” at the prospect of having the Portugal star in his Chelsea squad.
