Chelsea manager Graham Potter has reacted to Man Utd’s decision to drop their striker and Portugal international Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of their weekend clash in the EPL.

Man Utd dropped Ronaldo after the striker walked out of the Red Devils team during their 2-0 win vs Tottenham.

The action would be the second time this season.

Reacting to the Red Devils’ decision, Potter said: “I can’t really comment because I don’t know the ins and outs. He’s taken his stance and then you need the club to support him. From the outside, that’s what has happened.

It’s difficult for me to comment because I don’t want to go off headlines. Part of the job is to take some decisions that are difficult but that’s normal “.

Potter also spoke about what has changed at Man Utd.

He said: “It wasn’t a great start but they’ve battled back, got points and are playing well. It will be a tough game.

They’ve changed a bit how they build-up, bit more direct but at the same time they have the quality. They have the threats of Rashford, Anthony, Sancho, Fernandes. But they’ve adapted more to each other and learned more about the competition.
