Player Chelsea made a mistake signing out this summer revealed

Chelsea have witnessed a mass exit of some of their key players this summer but one of them has been described as a big mistake made by the Blues.

According to former Liverpool star Graeme Souness, Chelsea made a ‘mistake’ selling midfielder, Mason Mount to Premier League rivals Manchester United.

Recall that Mount penned a five-year contract with the Red Devils this summer after Chelsea refused to extend the player’s contract.

Before his exit, the England midfielder played 195 matches for Chelsea after making his first-team debut back in 2019.

He also helped Chelsea win the Champions League two years ago.

“I think it was a mistake to let Mason Mount go – whether it is to one of Chelsea’s biggest rivals or not.

“I like Mason Mount, given his age and history with Chelsea, given he’s been there since he was a young boy, and his qualities – he’s only going to get better,” Souness told the Sky Bet Fan Hope Survey.
