Manchester City are still willing to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur despite confirming the deal for Jack Grealish, Pep Guardiola has confirmed.

It would be recalled that Manchester City on Thursday evening broke the British transfer record when they signed Jack Grealish from Aston Villa in a £100m deal.

Though some fans believe the signature of Grealish will stop Manchester City from signing Kane, the citizens have continue their pursuit of the England captain.

Kane has not yet reported for pre-season training with Spurs amid the speculation surrounding his future.

Guardiola has now revealed City plan for Kane noting that any deal will depend on whether his North London club are prepared to negotiate a transfer fee.

Speaking with reporters, Guardiola stated that Kane is playing for Tottenham Hotspur and if Tottenham don’t want to negotiate, it’s finished.

The Spaniard noted that if Tottenham are open to negotiate everything will work out adding that not just Man City, all the top clubs will try to sign him.

Guardiola added that Kane is an exceptional, extraordinary striker and City are interested but he is a Tottenham player, if they don’t want to sell they don’t, if they want we can try.
