Chelsea’s newly appointed manager Enzo Maresca has fully taken over at the club as Christopher Nkunku and some of the Blues player done quite a bit of training with with their new boss now.

Recall that the Blues appointed Maresca the new Chelsea manager in June after Mauricio Pochettino exited the club on a mutual agreement.

Maresca who took over the reigns of the club in July has started pre-season training with his players earlier this month.

It appears Maresca is working on replicating his style of football at Leicester City at Chelsea as he prefers to see his team dominate.

According to WhoScored, the Foxes under Maresca had an average ball possession at 62.2%, which was the second highest in the division.

Speaking about what he and his team-mates have been practising in training under new manager Maree, Nkunku in a statement via Chelsea’s official website said the Blues are playing with the ball already a lot.

Nkunku revealed that on the first day, Maresca wanted the team to be on the pitch to practice football training directly as his idea to keep the ball, remains.

There are speculations that Nkunku returned to Cobham early amid reports linking him away from Chelsea after he was plagued by injuries last season.
