Nkunku reveals his preferable wing at Chelsea
Chelsea’s new player Christopher Nkunku has revealed his intention to play as the club forward next season.
Nkunku made this known after he made his debut for Chelsea against Wrexham during their ongoing pre-season tour in the US.
The former RB Leipzig man was impressed with Chelsea as he scored a goal during their 5-0 in North Carolina.
Recall that Nkunku joined his new teammates last week following his move from RB Leipzig this season after the Blues had signed him in the January transfer window.
While the France international is capable of playing in different positions and started his career as a midfielder at Paris Saint-Germain, he revealed he would like the role of a forward at Chelsea.
This was after Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino started him in the middle against Wrexham.
“This is my position,” Nkunku replied when asked about his preferred role.
“I like to play this position to be free to move to get into space. This is my position and I’m very happy.”
