Nevin slam this Chelsea star after defeat to Brighton

Pat Nevin has reacted to Chelsea’s embarrassing 4- 1 defeat to Brighton as he slammed Raheem Sterling for his poor form for the Blues.

Nevin in his statement described the £45 million former Man City star as “absolutely terrible”.

Sterling had enjoyed an encouraging start to his career at Stamford Bridge, scoring four times in his first eight appearances.

The Summer signing has played in a number of different roles under Graham Potter, including an unfamiliar wing-back role.

Sterling was among the Blues players who performed badly against Brighton.

Nevin said: “I’m watching Raheem Sterling right now, and I’ve said that Graham Potter has got the best from every player since he has been there, with one exception.

“Raheem Sterling. If he keeps playing the way he is right now, he’s not even a consideration for the World Cup.
