Ahead of the January transfer window, Italian side, Napoli have shown interest to sign Chelsea midfielder, Billy Gilmour.

The report revealed that the Italian club are ready to sign the 19-year-old on loan and see how well he can fit into their team before making a permanent purchase.

Gilmour made it to the Blues first team last season and already has 12 senior appearances to his name at his young age.

However, he has not made any appearance for Chelsea in the Premier League this season as he just returned from a knee surgery.

Chelsea spent heavily in the summer transfer window by bringing in new players thus reducing the game time that could be allotted to their younger players.

Chelsea midfielder Billy Gilmour will be keen to keep proving himself whenever he get chances, but that may have to be away from Stamford Bridge in the short-term.

Chelsea are likely to accept a loan transfer for the youngster from Napoli for him to gain more experiences. Anything aside a loan move would most likely not be accepted by the Blues.
