Ukraine star Mykhailo Mudryk found the back of the net at Stamford Bridge for the first time when he scored the second goal to put Chelsea ahead against undefeated Arsenal in the Premier League.

Mudryk caught the Gunners goalkeeper David Raya out of position to drop a looping left-footed effort in under the crossbar from out wide, and he has confirmed it was no fluke, explaining that was a situation he had prepared for on the training pitch at Cobham.

‘It was something in the middle, between a cross and a shot,’ explained Mudryk. ‘Before the game, our goalkeeper coach told me to look at their keeper because sometimes he is trying to read things and he can just lose the goal, so I can chip him.

‘So it was something I knew and I kept it in my head. I went for something between the cross and the shot and it was a good decision.’

Arsenal, however, equalise as they game ended in a 2-2 draw.
