Maresca hails Chelsea star after win Vs Leicester City
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca in a recent statement has singled out striker Nicholas Jackson for applause following his performance in the Blues’ Premier League 2-1 victory over Leicester City on Saturday.
Recall that the Blues made a short trip to Maresca’s former club Leicester City after the international break.
Maresca stated that the Senegal star is doing very well after he scored Chelsea’s opening goal against the Foxes.
A second goal from Enzo Fernandez gave the Blues the victory over the hosts at the King Power Stadium as well as three points to sit at the third spot on the league table.
Leicester City were able to score a lone goal thanks to Jordan Ayew’s stoppage time effort.
Maresca, who is impressed by Jackson’s performance, said the Senegalese is working hard on the ball and off the ball while making an effort to understand the way the Blues want to play.
The manager said that the Blues are happy with the way Jackson is playing on the ball, especially in the way he is playing off the ball and the way he is pressing.
“In this moment, we are very happy and we are sure he is going to get better game after game,” Maresca added.
