One of Chelsea stars could exit the club this summer transfer window as recent reports disclosed that the Blues manager, Enzo Maresca, would give the green light for the club to sell vice-captain Ben Chilwell.

A report via the Athletic disclosed that the Blues will let the left-back move on to another club for the price is right.

As of now Chilwell is one of the Blues highest earners, taking home around £200,000 a week.

There are speculations that Maresca who replaced Mauricio Pochettino as Chelsea’s newest manager is not convinced Chilwell’s skills will suit his style at Stamford Bridge..

While Chilwell as proven himself to be a key player for the Blues over the years, the England international’s time in West London has been plagued by injury issues.

Recall that last season, the 27-year-old made only 21 appearances in all competitions after he was out with a hamstring issue.

Considering that Chelsea are willing to build a new team under Maresca, unfit players like Chilwell may have to leave the squad to create room and game time for new additions as well as fit players at Stamford Bridge.

So far there are no details about clubs interested in Chilwell this summer.
