Manchester United manager showers praise on new signing, labels him a proven winner

Manchester United have finally gotten their hands on Raphael Varane, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has nothing but praise for the Frenchman.

Raphael Varane has agreed to join Manchester United from Real Madrid as both clubs reportedly agree a transfer fee £35m plus add-ons.

The former Lens defender is set to pen a four-year contract at Old Trafford with United possessing the option of an extra 12 months.

As United fans await Varane arrival, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer speaking after United’s pre-season match against Brentford revealed he’s glad the world cup winner will be joining his team.

Solskjaer stated that he’s happy that United managed to get a deal with Real Madrid.

Quoted by the Manchester Evening News, Solskjaer noted that Medical should hopefully be okay adding that Varane is a proven winner, a player United have followed for many, many years.

Solskjaer noted that Ferguson was very close to signing him but this time around, United got him at the other end of his career and he hass proved over his career, what a good person he is, professional and he’s won what there is to win.
