Manchester United are on the verge of completing a deal for their former forward Cristiano Ronaldo who is set to leave Juventus.

Ronaldo appeared to be staying at Juventus this season after he debunked reports linking him with a return to Real Madrid but things changed dramatically.

Earlier today it was reported that Ronaldo has insisted on leaving Juventus with the Portuguese forward pictured leaving the club training ground.

However, he was considering joining Manchester City before Sir Alex Ferguson played a big part in Ronaldo’s decision to reject Man City.

According to Manchester Evening News Ferguson who bought Ronaldo to Old Trafford and coached him for six years, rang the Portuguese on Friday morning after hearing that he was closing in on a move to City.

Ronaldo is now reportedly on his way to Manchester United where he will have his medical and sign at least a two years deal.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer during his press conference ahead of United’s match against Wolverhampton Wanderers has also revealed that Bruno Fernandez has been speaking with his international teammate.
