Raheem Sterling didn’t have the best season he would have hoped for with Manchester City last season, but he has been in terrific form for England at the ongoing European Championship.

The former Liverpool forward has been crucial in England’s progression to the quarter-final, scoring three goals.

Sterling was on the scoresheet when England defeated Germany in their round of 16 clash at Wembley stadium.

His excellent form seems to have changed the mind of the top hierarchy at Manchester City, who are willing to discuss a contract extension with him after the tournament.

Sterling has been linked with a move away from Pep Guardiola’s team as they are reportedly going to add him in the deal that will bring Harry Kane to Manchester City.

However, according to the Daily Mail, Man City plans to begin contract discussions with the Sterling once the European Championship has concluded.

The England international currently has two years left to run on his contract at the Etihad Stadium.
