Former Manchester United star, Rio Ferdinand, has lashed out at winger, Antony for his poor performance during their Premier League 3-2 defeat to Arsenal on Sunday.

According to Ferdinand, Antony could not beat anyone, as he added that he is ‘concerned’ by his inability to go past players.

Antony produced an unimpressive display as goals from Eddie Nketiah and Bukayo Saka gave Arsenal all three points.

Speaking on his FIVE YouTube show, Ferdinand said: “The concerning thing for me with somebody like Antony is that he can’t beat anyone – and for a Brazilian that is surprising!

“He just doesn’t beat anyone and I am sitting there thinking, ‘Was that always the way?’

“I have seen clips of him when he was at Ajax and he was somebody who used to beat people.

“I saw Partey – who I would not put down like a roaster, a sprinter – absolutely burst past him, and I am thinking, ‘Woah, he [Antony] has not got much power in his legs!’”
