Man Utd’s injury blow vs Brighton

Ahead of their weekend game vs Brighton, Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed Sofyan Amrabat will be unavailable to make his debut against the Seagulls.

Recall that the Morocco midfielder signed for the Red Devils on the last day of the recent summer transfer window on an initial loan deal from Fiorentina.

But Amrabat withdrew from the Morocco squad ahead of AFCON qualifiers against Liberia and Burkina Faso due to injury.

Ten Hag told MUTV: “Amrabat, he came back unfortunately with the injury. So he will not be available for tomorrow [Saturday]. But I think, on short notice [soon], yes. And I’m sure we will all get joy from them.”

The Red Devils will head to the match against Brighton after they suffered a 3-1 defeat to Arsenal before the international break.

They would hope to win all three points against Brighton.
