Manchester United forward Alejandro Garnacho in a recent statement while speaking on his goal against Everton said he ”couldn’t believe” that his acrobatic effort found the back of the net against.

The Red Devils beat Everton by a 3-0 scoreline over the weekend.

Garnacho, however, caught attention with his goal at Goodison Park.

He leapt into the air to connect with Diogo Dalot’s cross, looping his effort over Jordan Pickford to open the scoring.

The goal shared similarities with Wayne Rooney’s speculative strike against Manchester City back in 2011.

Two goals from Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial saw the Red Devils win all three points, as they climbed into sixth position in the table.

Speaking to Sky Sports following his wonderful goal against Everton, Garnacho recapped the moment, insisted he himself did not see the ball hit the net.

“I can’t believe it to be honest,”

he began.

“I just did [it] and I didn’t see how I scored, I just listened around.

“I said: ‘Oh my god’, and for me, of course, it was one of the best goals I have ever scored. I am very happy.”

The goal against Everton is Garnacho’s second for the Red Devils.
