Man Utd have reportedly been linked with a move to sign AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie in the next transfer window.

The reports claimed the Red Devils see Kessie as a suitable replacement for the French midfielder Paul Pogba and Dutch player Donny Van de Beek.

While there is uncertainty surrounding the future of Pogba at Old Trafford as he has been linked with moves to Juventus and Real Madrid, Van de Beek has been unable to make it to the Red Devils squad since joining them from Ajax last year.

With Kessie’s current contract with AC Milan due to expire next June and the Italian giants are struggling to come to an agreement with the Ivory Coast international over an extension, Man Utd could make a move for him.

However, the Red Devils will face some competition from other clubs who have been linked with the midfielder.

The likes of Chelsea, Paris Saint Germain and Liverpool, have been linked with moves for Kessie.

A report via Tuttomercatoweb revealed that the Red Devils are ‘serious’ about making the move.

The report claimed that Man Utd are likely to step up their pursuit if Pogba or Van de Beek leave the club in 2022.
