Man Utd performance worrisome despite new signings

Former Premier League star Gary Neville has said Man Utd have not been at their best so far despite signing the trio of Mason Mounts, Rasmund Hojlund and Andre Onana in the summer transfer window.

Neville in a statement via Sky Sports said: “Mount, Hojlund and Onana signings hadn’t made Manchester United any better…” he told Sky Sports.

He also said the Red Devils’ performance has been worrisome since the arrival of the trio in the last transfer window.

According to Neville, the Red Devils are nowhere near their city rivals, Manchester City and may find it difficult to challenge the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool for a title this season.

“They’re nowhere near Manchester City, that’s a fact.

“What we would’ve wanted is to get closer to Arsenal, make sure we stay above Chelsea and Liverpool.

“That’s the issue at the moment – Liverpool and Chelsea, and the other clubs, Newcastle and Aston Villa, are we as strong as them?“

I’m a little more worried than I was a few weeks ago, but I never bought into this idea that we were better.”
