Man Utd finally decide on signing Benzema

Manchester United have dropped their interest to sign former Real Madrid star Karim Benzema in the ongoing January transfer window.

The Red Devils who have struggled with their form this season are in need of a top striker that can score goals.

Their inability to score goals against opponents have seen them drop to eighth spot in the Premier League table.

With Anthony Martial now being ruled out for 10 weeks following groin surgery, Man Utd are left with Rasmus Hojlund as the only fit recognised striker.

Man United manager Erik ten Hag is now left with the option of signing a new forward with French striker Benzema, who plays in the Saudi Pro League said to be on their list.

However, a recent report via Daily Mail revealed Man United do not want to sign the 36-year-old, who is paid a whopping £86 million a year, over wage demands and fears of breaching FFP rules.

Recall that Benzema joined Saudi side Al-Ittihad in the summer on a free transfer from Spanish giants Real Madrid.

So far he has scored 12 goals in 20 appearances in Saudi.
