Man Utd captain blamed referee for defeat to Tottenham

Manchester United midfielder and captain Bruno Fernandes has blamed referee John Moss for the defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.

According to Fernandes, the referee was part of the reason the Red Devils were defeated 2-0 by Tottenham in the Premier League on Saturday.

Fernandes believe they were denied a penalty in the first half when an Alejandro Garnacho shot struck Cristian Romero’s arm in the box.

Recall that the referee apologised to Wolves on Monday night after they were denied a penalty at Old Trafford.

Fernandes wants the same treatment from Moss.

Speaking after the game on Saturday, Fernandes was asked what explanation the referee gave for not giving a penalty and he told Stadium Astro, “You’ll have to ask him. They have to start making interviews after the games so they can explain themselves.

“It’s a clear penalty. No excuses for not seeing, no excuses for the VAR to not see that.

“Last week they made a big thing for United not having a penalty against us. I want to see what’s going to happen this week. If it’s going to happen…the same show that they did last week.

“I want to see if John Moss also comes to apologise in our dressing room like they said they did for the manager of Wolves. I hope he’s here and he can come.”
