The latest report has revealed that Manchester United are already working out a framework that will enable the sign Declan Rice from West Ham next summer transfer window.

Recall that the Red Devils were among the clubs that had made a move to sign Rice in the recent summer transfer window; however, they were unable to complete the deal as the Hammers turned down their deal.

A report via the Manchester Evening News claimed the 22-year-old midfielder is Man United’s leading midfield target, and the club have already started to put together the framework ahead of a move next summer.

The report further claimed that West Ham might have no option other than to let Rice leave next summer, with the England international making it clear that he does not intend to sign a new contract at the London Stadium.

Rice’s current contract with the David Moyes led squad will not end until June 2024, this means the Red Devils must come with a better offer next season.

Man Utd are working to sign a new midfielder ahead of Paul Pogba’s likely departure.
