Premier League side Liverpool has reportedly joined the clubs trying to sign Lille midfielder Renato Sanches this summer.

Renato Sanches was able to revive his career with Lille last season, putting impressive performance that ensured they won the title ahead of Paris Saint-Germain.

He continued his excellent performance at the European Championship as Portugal crashed out in the round of 16.

The likes of Manchester United have been linked with Sanches, and Liverpool are reportedly willing to bring him to Anfield as a replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum.

According to Fabrizio Romano on his Here We Go podcast, Liverpool have not yet advanced their interest in Sanches, but the interest is there from the Reds, along with several other clubs.

Liverpool are eager to replace Georginio Wijnaldum, who joined Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer after failing to agree to a new deal with the reds.

The Netherland international showed the reds lost a valuable asset as he performed well for his country before they were eliminated at the ongoing European Championship.
