Spanish side Barcelona are hoping to make some massive transfer in the coming January transfer window.

While the Catalans have been linked with moves for some players at Chelsea, the reports have also revealed that the Spanish side have an interest in Liverpool’s star Thiago Alcantara.

However, the recent reports claimed Liverpool are not ready to let Thiago leave for Camp Nou or any other interested club.

Thiago moved to Liverpool in the summer of 2020 and has only started enjoying his time at Anfield; he has, however, been linked with a move away.

Barcelona newly appointed manager  Xavi Hernandez has reportedly asked the club officials to do all they can to re-sign the midfielder as part of his squad rebuild.

But Liverpool have no interest in letting him go, according to Spanish outlet AS.

Thiago started his career in the youth academy at Barcelona before making his debut at the age of 18 but left for Bayern Munich in 2013 after Pep Guardiola took charge of the German club.

While a return to Barcelona may be appealing for Thiago, he is under contract at Anfield until 2024.
