Brighton have valued their defender, Ben White at £50 million amidst interest from Man Utd and Liverpool.

The 23-year-old defender had an impressive 2020-21 season with Brighton and has also replaced Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for Euro 2020 tournament set to commence June 11th.

According to the Daily Mail, while Brighton is desperate to keep hold of their star defender, they however would take an offer in the region of £50m for him this summer.

Brighton were reported to have turned down a £25m bid from Leeds United last season, where White spent a year on loan in the Championship.

The 23-year-old English defender still has three years remaining on his current contract and the reports from Brighton have hinted that they are now considering offering him a new and improved deal to convince him to stay put at the club.

White made 36 Premier League appearances for Brighton in the 2020-21 campaign. He also made his England debut coming off the bench in the 1-0 victory over Austria last week.

It is uncertain if Liverpool and Man Utd will be willing to pay that high for the defender. We will have to wait till the commencement of the summer transfer window to see if any of them will submit a transfer deal.
