Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United have been put on notice over the potential cost of signing highly rated Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, with the French club making it clear they will only consider an exceptional offer.

The 18-year-old has enhanced his growing reputation with a series of impressive performances for Morocco at the 2026 World Cup, helping his country reach the quarter-finals. Bouaddi has started four matches during the tournament, including knockout victories over the Netherlands and Canada, further attracting the attention of Europe’s biggest clubs.

His international displays follow two breakthrough seasons with Lille, where he has already amassed close to 100 senior appearances despite his age. His maturity, technical quality and composure have made him one of the most sought-after young midfielders in European football.

According to reports, Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Bayern Munich are all monitoring the teenager’s progress ahead of potential moves this summer.

However, Lille chairman Olivier Létang has warned interested clubs that Bouaddi will not come cheaply. Drawing comparisons with the huge transfer fees recently commanded by midfielders such as Elliot Anderson and Sandro Tonali, Létang suggested Bouaddi’s value should be viewed in the same bracket, underlining the club’s determination to keep hold of one of their prized assets.

With Lille under no immediate pressure to sell, any club hoping to secure Bouaddi’s signature is likely to face a fierce negotiating battle and a substantial transfer fee.

Despite the warning, Arsenal and their rivals are expected to continue monitoring the Moroccan international as they assess midfield options ahead of the new season.
