As Chelsea make a short trip to North London on Tuesday, one player who could be lining up against them is their former midfielder and Italy international Jorginho, who left Stamford Bridge to join Arsenal in the January transfer window.

Ahead of the match, Chelsea interim manager Frank Lampard outlined his respect for the midfielder, who he appointed as Chelsea vice-captain during his first spell in the dug-out at Stamford Bridge.

‘I like Jorgi, he’s a very good player and was part of the team that went on to win the Champions League, a central figure in it I think. He’s a good personality in the dressing room to drive the team, a good player and if he plays he’s just another good player in that squad.

‘That’s the options that teams that are challenging for titles have. Sometimes you can change the player and not drop the level, or bring a different type of player in. If that happens then it’s obviously something we’ve just got to deal with.’
