Italian side Juventus have been advised against re-signing their former midfielder Paul Pogba from Man Utd.

This is according to the club’s former star Fabio Cannavaro.

It is no longer news that Pogba has announced his departure from Old Trafford and has been linked with a return to Juventus this summer.

According to Sky Sports, the Italian side are in the final stages of wrapping up a three-year deal with Pogba.

Pogba was at Turin from 2012 to 2016, where he emerged as one of Europe’s most renowned midfielders in the process, which saw him gain the attention of the likes of Man Utd.

Cannavaro, however, hopes Pogba returns to Italy in the form he previously enjoyed in Turin rather than his poor spell at Man United.

“Pogba to Juve? I hope to see the real Paul again, the one from the first Juventus experience. He has to find the reasons,” Cannavaro told Tuttosport (via Metro).

“The midfielder of recent seasons is of no use to Juventus or France.”

Pogba made 233 appearances for Manchester United, with 39 goals and 51 assists to his name.
