Manchester United are keen on making new additions to their squad under Erik ten Hag this January transfer window.

Recent reports have revealed that the Red Devils are monitoring Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite and Nice’s Jean-Clair Todibo as the club looks to strengthen their centre-back position.

Man United are currently in the seventh position on the Premier League table after an inauspicious start to the campaign under Ten Hag.

The Red Devils were also kicked out of the Champions League at the group stage last month.

A report via The Evening Standard revealed Man United will prioritise signing a centre-forward of the level of Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane to support Rasmus Hojlund, who has scored only two league goals since arriving at Old Trafford club from Atalanta.

The report added that the Red Devils are also interested in signing a top-class No.8 in the middle of the park, as well as reinforcements at right-back and in central defence.

It was claimed that Branthwaite and Todibo have been added to Man United’s shortlist of possible targets to sign at centre-back.

Man Utd will face competition from other clubs should they submit offers for the two players.
