How Reece James reacted to Kante’s departure

Chelsea fullback defender Reece James in a recent statement has described outgoing midfielder N’Golo Kante as the nicest guy in the game of football.

James made this statement while penning a heartfelt message to the French international, who left Stamford Bridge for Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad this summer.

Kante, who won the Champions League, Premier League, and FA Cup winner, departed Chelsea as a free agent after his contract expire, having spent seven years at Chelsea.

The midfielder, who won the 2018 World Cup winner with France had an injury-plagued 2022–23 season, as he made only nine appearances across competitions for Chelsea after suffering a hamstring injury in the second game week of the season.

Kante penned a four-year contract worth €100 million in total with the Saudi Arabian club.

“Nicest guy in football. Such a pleasure to share a dressing room and play alongside you. Good luck, brother, you’ll be missed,” James wrote on Instagram.
