How Arteta convinced Chelsea forward to consider switch to Arsenal

Arsenal are set to welcome another Chelsea player at Emirates Stadium after Jorginho.

This comes as football transfer guru Fabrizio Romano in a statement showing how the Gunners manager Mikel Arteta convinced Chelsea forward Kai Havertz to consider a switch.

The German star is close to completing a transfer to the Emirates this summer after the Gunners agreed a deal with their London rivals.

Arsenal were very productive in their efforts to sign Havetz who has already agreed personal terms.

Romano in a statement via Caught Offside said Arteta convinced Havertz that the move would be the best option for his career.

“Mikel Arteta has been really, really important in Arsenal’s deal to sign Kai Havetz from Chelsea.

“Arteta is delighted this is going to happen. The Spaniard did everything he could to convince Havertz that a move to Arsenal was best for him, and the player agreed,” he said.

“Havertz believes that playing for Arteta and Arsenal was the best project, not just in England, but throughout the whole of Europe.”
