How Arsenal could win EPL title next season

Former Arsenal star Robert Pires has tipped the club to win titles next season as he expressed delight with their new signings this summer.

Recall that the Gunners were close to winning the EPL over Manchester City in the last campaign.

But they narrowly lost it to the Citizens despite staying on top for over nine months.

However, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has been financially supported in the transfer market in order to finally end the club’s 19-year wait for a league title.

The Gunners splashed over £200 million on Declan Rice, Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber.

Pires told talkSPORT: “I think Man City at the end were much better because they were like a machine and for Pep Guardiola he has two teams and that’s not the case for Arsenal.

“But we’ve signed Rice, Havertz – I think these guys have good experience, play good football, they know the Premier League. So I think they can help Arsenal to try to win the trophy at the end of the season.”

Meanwhile, Arsenal are starting the new season on a good note, having defeated EPL champions Man City on Sunday to win the Community Shield.
