Manchester United star, Rasmus Hojlund, has reacted to the limited game time his compatriot, Christian Eriksen, receive at Old Trafford.

Hojlund expressed his desire to see Eriksen get more playing time after the midfielder opened up on his unhappiness with his current role at Old Trafford under manager Erik ten Hag.

So far this season, Eriksen has only started in nine of Man United’s Premier League games and has witnessed a reduction in his influence under Ten Hag.

Hojlund said he also sat on the bench for Copenhagen and understands Eriksen’s situation.

He, however, hopeful that the former Inter Milan star will get more game time to play after the international break.

“I myself have sat on the bench for Copenhagen, so I know what that means,” Hojlund told TV2.

“But he holds his head high and he is a class player. Of course, you want to play football. And I’m sure he does too. [But] he trains well and is still very positive and very helpful, so it is not a big deal. He is a real professional.

“So it must be the coach’s decision whether he plays or not.”
