Former Chelsea star William Gallas has shared his thought about the club’s recent signing Axel Disasi this summer.

Gallas in his statement stressed that Disasi is not ready to play at the top level for Chelsea.

The former defender added that the 25-year-old doesn’t suit a club like the Blues.

This is coming days after Disasi moved to Stamford Bridge in a deal worth £38.5 million from Monaco.

“I have seen him play for Monaco and for me, I don’t know why Chelsea signed another defender. I think they have too many – it looks like they have too many, so why sign another one?” Gallas told Gambling Zone.

“Disasi is a very physical player. He is very strong. In the Premier League you need to have more about you than just being a physical player – being strong is not enough, especially when you play for a big club like Chelsea.

”You need to have more quality and, I don’t think he is a player that will suit Chelsea.

“I don’t think it was a good idea to sign him because I don’t think he is ready to play at the top level yet.”
