He can leave: Conte ready to let this Chelsea target leave
Former Chelsea and now Napoli manager Antonio Conte in a recent statement has said he wouldn’t stop Victor Osimhen from leaving the club this summer transfer window.
It is no longer news that Osimhen is expected to exit the former Serie A champions having previously expressed interest to part ways with the Naples.
However, the €130 million release clause in his contract has been a stumbling block for clubs interested in signing him.
Chelsea, alongside Arsenal and French club PSG are among the top clubs interested in signing Osimhen.
In fact, this Blues had some points were reported to be planning to include two of their players in their offer to beat down the Nigerian forward’s release clause.
Recent report has disclosed that Osimhen is now keen on a return to French Ligue 1 with Paris Saint-Germain, who are now trying to reach an agreement with Napoli.
Conte in a statement said it was already clear pact about Osimhen’s exit, adding that the timing was exactly as the club expected.
The manager stated that there will be no issues about Osimhen’s transfer away from the club.
Once Osimhen leaves, Conte is waiting could sanction a move for Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku to replace him at Napoli.
