Former Chelsea player Kai Havertz in a recent statement revealed that winning the UEFA Champions League with the Blues was a special moment for him.

Havertz who exited Stamford Bridge in the summer to join Chelsea’s rivals Arsenal expressed high hopes about winning the tournament again.

Havertz joined Chelsea in 2020, from German side Bayern Leverkusen.

He ended his first season in west London by scoring the goal that won the Champions League.

After three years with the Blues, he switched to North London club Arsenal.

“I think the Champions League is a special tournament and I think every football player just loves to play there,” Kai said in a statement via Arsenal’s website.

“I was fortunate to win the trophy and for me it was the best feeling I’ve ever had. So to play there again with Arsenal is very exciting for me. Hopefully, I can bring some good attributes into the team, hopefully to win the trophy again. Because I think it’s the most special trophy to win.”
