Guardiola reveals why he is hated by his players
Manchester City coach, Pep Guardiola has spoken about the relationship between him and his players.
Guardiola in his statement revealed he is hated by his players because they don’t get to start in every match.
Recall that Man City returned to action Friday night during an away clash against Newcastle United.
Guardiola made a few changes to his starting XI during the match as he made use of the trio of Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus and Ferran Torres at front.
Torres netted a sublime hat-trick as City won 4-3 and Guardiola has defended his decision to always rotate, as they eye a stunning Treble with the Champions League final against Chelsea on May 29.
The Citizen manager noted that it was not possible to start every player every time and as such some players wouldn’t get the regulars playing chances they desire.
Guardiola in a statement said, ‘You have to have 15, 16, 17 top players and after that the academy, lots of interesting players who can help.
“That’s why the players hate me because they want to play every single day, but sometimes it is not possible because when you have all these alternatives, sometimes it is difficult to let the same players play,” he said.
