Guardiola hoping Man City doesn’t end up like Liverpool next season
Last season saw Liverpool win the Premier League title with 18 points ahead of Man City who were at the second spot.
The Red were so tough they were considered one of the strongest teams in Europe with many expecting them to repeat this same thing this season.
However, this season has been different for Liverpool as they have struggled to perform. They are currently 17 points behind Man City who are toppers this season.
The Reds are also struggling to at least finish in the top four to play in the Uefa Champions League next season.
Looking at the whole issue with the Reds, Man City coach, Pep Guardiola is convinced such could happen to his squad next season if they are not careful.
“Last season Liverpool were unstoppable, and everyone believed that this season they would be the same again.
“But that is a good lesson for us. Nothing is [taken] for granted. Everything can happen,” Guardiola said in a statement.
He stressed that Man City could also have injuries and bad moments next season.
”That’s why the warnings always have to be on.
“We have to connect in our decisions, and try to be consistent and competitive in the future,” he said.
